Mechanism of Action
Bactistatin ( Active Metabolite Extract of B. subtilis strain B-2335) which is a first in class “Metabiotic” eliminates the need for the first three steps of conventional probiotics -
(i) Survival of the strain
(ii) Adhesion to Intestinal Epithelium and
(iii) Colonization and provides the Metabolites destined to be produced subsequently in the gut in a ready to ingest form. Further, providing a cell free extract of approved probiotic as a dietary supplement effectively address the predictable challenges associated with probiotic formulations:
i. Every probiotic strain has a peculiar nutrient medium requirement for keeping it alive throughout its shelf life,
ii. Temperature and moisture requirements of the probiotic to stay viable throughout shelf life.
iii. Any kind of Stress including mechanical stress during lyophilization and packing the strain in a capsule may adversely affect its probiotic-ability and overall viability.
